3. Virgil Fox was born in Princeton, Illinois, on May 3, He was a child prodigy. At the age of ten, he was playing the organ for church services. At fourteen, he played his first organ recital before a cheering crowd of 2, people in Cincinnati. At seventeen, he was the unanimous winner of the Biennial Contest of the National Federation of Music Clubs in Boston, the first organist ever.

4. The content is great, there is no one who played Bach better than Virgil Fox, God rest his soul, Virgil Fox & Bach get 5 stars. I have the vinyl version "VIRGIL FOX- HEAVY ORGAN- BACH LIVE AT FILLMORE EAST" and this is what I thought I was also getting. It is fantastic. What I thought I was getting and what I got was disappointing/5(16).

5. If you can find the double CD set of Live at teh Fillmore and Live at Winterland, it is worth grabbing. "Come Sweet Death" and the Winterland version of the Tocatta and Fugue in dm are amazing. The sound is incredible from an electric organ and just knowing that these amazing performances were reaching people that wouldn't otherwise have heard Reviews: 4.
