3. Maybe it was the excessive studio editing that made "Beast From the East" sound so much louder and more powerful. In any case, I recommend "Live From the Sun" to hard-core Dokken fans (like myself). However, for more casual fans of Dokken (especially of their older material), I HIGHLY recommend you check out "Beast From the East" first/5(22).

5. Nov 21,  · Dokken live is % better than most of the albums/CDs and seeing them live is even better. This video beats out Japan Live '95 due to the fact that Don interacts with the audience much more, is playful and the band is loose together (not uptight like /5(29).

6. Dokken – Live From the Sun captures the band in full flight playing the way they do best. Recorded at the Sun Theatre in Anaheim, California in , this is a great show and a much better showcase of the band than their One Live Night acoustic show, which was good in its own right, but not the Dokken the fans really want to see.
